Why Life and Philosophy are different?

Why doesn't philosophy help us in our miserable life?

Just imagine a river and a bridge over it. The bridge is deliberately built at some distance above the river. So that river water does not flow over the bridge. Care is also taken not to drown the bridge in the river. For this a certain distance is kept between the two, the two do not meet each other.

Our real life is as natural as a river. We are creating bridges in the air of our thoughts, ideas, hopes, aspirations, desires etc. Our me and his thoughts are part of that psychological bridge they will never touch the actual river of Life.

If I realise who am I, then the ideas that I have created can also be understood. If one understands the real nature of I and his ideas, then he can ignore the bridge created by I and his ideas. Then he can touch the real life of river, then he can live real life, live his life without any philosophy. Otherwise he will remain separate forever from the river like a bridge.

Bitter events in our life are coming to tear down the mental bridge of our ego. All those are psychological problems only and without them we will never get down in the real life of river. That is why the saints have asked a miserable life.

If we do not understand real nature of I beforehand, then the damage done when a river floods or a bridge collapses is irreparable.
